Starting from the most recent 34.1 Etere versions, Etere Radio Live Engine has been converted into a service and the desktop application won't be installed anymore along with Etere Radio Live Playout.
Etere Radio Live Engine Service, provides a more reliable and faster functioning, as well as a lesser consumption of resources.
In addition, the Software as a service (SaaS) is easily deployable on physical or virtual environments.
This Etereweb section is where the Engine Service can be configured.
In details, here can be selected the PC where the service is running, the station and the default role of the engine (main or clone). This data and everything set in the parameters, can be then:
- saved in the database, pressing the SAVE button;
- written in the file etere.radiolive.engine.service_X.xml (where the 'X' represents the Engine Service instance installed), restarting also the service, using the button APPLY AND RESTART. In this case, since the service reads the xml file at the startup, any modification is actually and immediately taken by Engine Service.
In the next chapters, all the available parameters of Etere Radio Live Engine Service are described.
