Resource Configuration

59.6.2.176 Leitch - Leitch 3701-MK/LGI-6801/MGI-3701 resource editor

The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: Shows the resource type
•Number: Indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.

The user must enter the following information:
•Name: Description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: Enter LEITCH3701MK for Leitch 3701, LEITCHLGI6801 for Leitch LGI-6801 or LEITCHMGI3701 for Leitch MGI-3701.
•Config: The Leitch 3701MK logo and Leitch LGI-6801 logo are managed via GPI: it is, therefore, necessary to enter the number of the first GPI to be used to control them in this field.
•Model: Choose the model you have
•Configuration:
Logo generator configured as:
✓Indicate how you want the logo to be configured.
✓Indicate the associated DSK
✓Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if one of those in the resources (previously configured) must be associated.
(Warning: you need to configure DSKs first because only installed DSKs are displayed)

•Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can pre-load the logo before sending it ON AIR in such a way as to speed up the operation at the moment of the take. This possibility can be exploited using preset/take mode instead of standard mode. The preset/take mode is suggested only if a commutation is used for each event. Otherwise, the results could be unpredictable.

Note: While the Leitch 3701MK logo and Leitch LGI-6801 logo use an output GPI card to work, the Leitch MGI-3701 logo is controlled via RS-232.

LEITCH LGI-6801 has two logos only: according to the default setting (restored when the PC is shut down), the logo generator sends to the air logo no. 2; to work, it needs 4 GPIs.

After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:

3701-MK / LGI-6801 logos setting:
I/O address (Hex) Indicate the address of an Output card connected to the device. You must previously configure the card in the resources and activate it for the same user and software used by the logo.

MGI-3701 logo setting:
Com port setting:

The machine can be controlled directly through a serial connection (in this case, you have to set the com number) or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses).
(The Com port setting is fixed: 38400, N,8,1)

422
Device (out): Indicate the no. of the device to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
Controller (in): Indicate the no. of the controller to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)

(Only in the special case where you have a centralized video router which allows you also to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422)
