59.9.3.1 Etere Database Tools

The Etere Database Tools provides operators with very useful tools for managing and maintaining your database. The tools provided by this module include:

DB Differences - Compare the structure of two different databases and export all encountered differences.
Lock Monitor - Monitor the database's lock status in real time, giving detailed information on locked objects.
Queries statistical usage - Retrieve from the SQL Server key statistics regarding the performance of executed queries, thus allowing you to individuate queries whose execution is taking so much time, memory or CPU usage.
Query capture - Capturing real-time information related to queries currently in execution, thus allowing us to trace the user activity.
Index statical usage - Retrieve some key statistics regarding the usage and performance of indexes from the SQL Server.
Installation and use - Install and configure Etere Database Tools.
Cleanup - Delete obsolete Media Info files from the database.


How to access Etere Database Tools
To open Etere Database Tools, follow the procedure below:

1. Launch the Etere update (EtereInstall.exe) from your Etere network directory and install the "Configuration" module.
2. Open Etere Configuration and navigate to the "System Maintenance" module.
3. Select the "Database Tools" option and press the [Start] button.
4. The "Etere Database Tools" opens and displays all available utilities.
