Import Scope
The EGTAMETA XML function allows importing video files information (advertisement attributes) contained in .XML files formatted according to the EBU/egta metadata schema, a metadata exchange schema dedicated for the exchange of advertisements between ads agencies and broadcasters.
Required configuration
The following elements must exist in Etere's flexi-metadata structure (in "Configuration > Settings > MAM > Flexi-metadata"):

Import process
In case this import is enabled in Etere ActiveSync, every time a new video file is detected ActiveSync will also search for a related XML descriptive file named according to the following convention:
[VideoFileName].xml
▪VideoFileName: The name of the related video file (e.g. 10002.XML).
Whether the import is started manually or automatically, the validity of the file structure will be checked
In case an asset doesn't exist in Etere a new asset will be created holding all imported data
In the other hand, if the asset already exists it will be updated with all the imported data.
In the import file, if the video HD flag “<ebucore: videoTechnicalAttributeFlag typeLabel = "HD flag">” is set to “True”, video file with “HD” data format would be imported.
Upon import, the video asset would update the aspect ratio field (FILMATI.ASPECT) as “HD” in asset repository. The related SMPTE field mapped to the asset would also be updated.

Import Parameters
Under the Import section, the following settings can be configured:
Import_standard_egtameta_xml
•File to import: The name of the imported file (e.g. MD325.XML) must be the same as the video file (e.g. MD325.MXF) to which it's related but with .xml extension.
Once the import has been configured, it can be started just by pressing the <Import> button, once the import has finished, it will be possible to display the schedule of the related day to check/approve the operation.
