Resource Configuration

59.6.2.31 360 Systems resource editor

This form allows for defining the general features of the resource.
The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: in this field, insert a description identifying the resource.
•N. of Channels: insert several channels on the Videoserver. Channels must be Input and Output ones. It is always possible to change the number of channels according to necessities. To increase them, it is sufficient to rise the N. of present Channels; to diminish them, it is necessary to delete them one by one from the general form EDIT RESOURCES.

Delete resources.
•Features:
Preroll Time - Display in mmsec. the time that the videoserver takes to perform the preroll (by default, indicate 1600)
Skip Time - Display in mmsec. The time the videoserver takes to skip between one video file and another during the broadcasting (show 1600 as default).
CueRec Time - Display in mmsec. The time that the videoserver takes to perform the CueRec.(show 0 as default).

By pressing the key Confirm, a 360 resource will be added to the resource tree with the number of indicated channels.
It will be necessary to configure the Channels afterwards. This operation will be performed after placing it on the channel and by pressing Modify Resource.
Serial connection wire: SMPTE 207 (wire SONY).
360 Systems resource editor - User
Indicate which user and which software the resource has to be installed for.
360 Systems resource editor - Channel
Here, you can define the configuration of the single 360 channel.
The first part is merely descriptive and shows data previously assigned:
Code: the path of the resource you are editing is displayed
Type: shows the resource type
Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
Name: description of the resource you are editing (in this case, the suffix CH-no. of the channel is added)

The second part allows you to set the connection and use mode of the channel:
Driver - Fixed: MAXX
Channels -
Video In: Display the number of input channels you wish to use, considering they begin from n. one onwards.
(0=not used) The input channel is usually shown just in case you need to record.
Video Out: Display the number of output channels you wish to use, considering they begin from n. one onwards.
(0=non usato) The output channel must be shown if the intention is to revise the recorded video files.
Practically, setting the video in and out for an ingest channel and setting for the play channel only the video out.
E/E
It is also possible to set E\E for single channels. This is necessary for those systems for which is not foreseen an automatic E/E. It allows, during ingest, to simulate an E\E via software with an eventual router connected, that is, in REC to put the source output (VTR) on a monitor, and in PLAY, to put the videoserver output again on a monitor.
Proxy address board
If you have a video acquisition proxy board directly connected to the channel, set the IP address related to the PC on which the board has been installed (ES.: 195.122.231.145).
The local port should have a value between 6501 and 6509.

If you don't have that kind of board, or if it isn't fixed to the channel, leave the two boxes blank.
