Here, it is possible to configure a single channel.
The first part is just descriptive and shows previously set data:
•Code: shows the path for the edited resource.
•Type: shows the resource type.
•Number: shows the number used for the resource identification if there are other resources of the same kind.
•Name: a description identifying the edited resource (in this case, a "CH-number" channel suffix is added).
In the second part, it is possible to set the channel's connection and use modality:
•Driver:
Insert "WM9" to control the channel with INGEST (for the recording procedure).
Insert "DIRECTX9" to control the channel with AUTOMATION (for the play-out).
•Channels
✓Video In insert the number of the input channel to be used (starting from n.1). Set 0 for an unused channel. The input channel is usually indicated only if required for ingest.
✓Video Out: define the number of channels to be used (starting from n.1). Set 0 for a channel that is not used. The output channel is usually indicated only if required for the on-air.
•E/E
It is also possible to set the E/E for any single channel. This is useful for systems not providing automatic E/E.
It allows the simulation of an E/E via software with a connected router during ingest, which displays on the monitor the source output (VTR) during REC and the video server's output during PLAY.
•Proxy Quality Form
If the system is provided for a proxy video acquisition board directly connected to the channel, set the PC's IP address where it is installed (e.g. 195.122.231.145). The local port value must be included between 6501 and 6509. If the proxy board is unavailable or not exclusively associated with the channel, leave these two values undefined.
WMV resource editor - Channel User
When one has defined the user and the application that the resource must be activated for, it is necessary to set the other data:
Router
✓Input: Set the router's output channel connected to the resource's input (-1=not managed).
✓Output: Set the router's input channel connected to the resource's output (-1=not managed).
✓Monitor: Connect the router's output channel to any monitor (-1=not managed).
