Introduction
The Imagine Platinum video router provides independent signal paths and crosspoints for Audio and Video, allowing complete versatility regardless of size; it is designed to support high-quality routing of all analogue and digital Video and audio signals. Platinum seamlessly integrates the capabilities of a discrete audio infrastructure in a fully embedded video plant without the need for a secondary audio frame.
The Imagine platinum counts with an eight-channel frame sync input card that allows up to eight wild video signals to be synchronized to house reference without external frames or wiring.
Parameters
The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed,
•Type: shows the resource type (e.g., C),
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The User must enter the following information:
•Name: Enter a brief description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: Select the protocol to be used to control the router:
❑PlatinumCom: Select this driver if the router is connected via serial port; no additional driver parameters are required.
❑PlatinumIP: Select this driver to control the router via telnet; it requires setting the following parameters:
* IP address, Local port (23 by default), User and password.
❑Eteresw: Specify the switching levels by default and for serial connections, respectively. It requires to specify the following parameters:
* Default level (1,2,3,4 or all) and 422 level (1,2 or 3).
NB: The Eteresw driver is no longer in use; it has been maintained only for compatibility.
•Number of channels: insert the number of the router's inputs and outputs.
•Router switching levels: Some routers allow you to determine the switching levels, that is, to define what has to be switched (Audio only, Audio and Video, Video only, serial port, etc.). If your router offers this option, levels can be set here.
In Etere, you have three kinds of switching: AUDIO/VIDEO, SERIAL PORT, TIMECODE and for each, you can determine the levels to be installed.
For example. if, on your router, Video corresponds to level 1 and Audio corresponds to level 2, you must activate levels 1 and 2 in the AUDIO/VIDEO box
if the switching of a possible serial port corresponds to level 4, start level 4 on the SERIAL PORT box
NB: Leave all levels installed if your router does not offer this possibility.
Serial connection wire
RS-232 (standard wire)
RS-422 (beta72 wire)
Imagine Platinum resource editor - User
After indicating which User and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:
Com port setting:
The router can be controlled directly through a serial connection (in this case, you have to set the com number) or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses).
Com configuration:
The default com configuration has the following parameters:
- Baud: 9600 (editable)
- Parity: None
- Stop bits: 1
- Data bits: 8
Backup Router:
If you wish to manage another router as the Backup router, activate this option, insert com data, or leave the option blank.
The backup router must be completely THE SAME as the main one.
