EE Menus

84.2.2.20 Ad Insertion schedules

The AD Insertion menu provides the functions required to define the events to be transmitted by the AD Insertion system.

Show cluster durations - Open a multi-network view showing all networks and their related ad insertion clusters (and durations), allowing to insert and remove events from clusters to keep durations of regional networks aligned with the duration of the national network.
NB: Networks are pre-configured in Configuration > Settings > Basic > Ad insertion management.

Recalculate duration of blocks - The cluster is created and updated on each schedule change, it is composed of contiguous events with the same schedule times. In the event when the cluster schedule is changed, use this function to create or update the clusters.
An empty space between 2 events with the same scheduled time generates 2 different clusters.
In Ad Insertion mode, all events in the schedule will be clustered, empty spaces are excluded.
Clusters with the same durations are marked with green check icon. If the durations are different, a yellow warning would be imposed.
In Ad Insertion mode, if a Live event is inserted via pass-through between breaks, the status of the Live event is visible with the SEPARATOR in the Type column.

Create Cluster
Select multiple consecutive events with the same scheduled time and select this function to define an AD Insertion cluster in EE.

Consecutive clusters
The presence of consecutive ad insertion clusters will be highlighted through a red warning in the 'icons' column. In case an ad insertion cluster (group of consecutive ad insertion events) has different durations on its ad insertion networks, a warning message will be shown.

Other warnings
• In case an Ad Insertion cluster does not have the same duration as the main network, a yellow warning will be displayed.
• In case an Ad Insertion cluster is either empty or contains events from another Ad Insertion network, a yellow warning will be displayed.
