The General 4 section regards T-workflows, aspect ratio and loudness control, the following options can be defined:
T-Workflow to be launched after an ingest operation - In case of a regular ingest (i.e. non-streaming), this T-workflow is launched at the end of the ingest operation.
NB: Please note that this T-workflow can be also set under the Etere Configuration > Configuration Editor > T-Workflow > Default T-workflows section.
T-Workflow to be launched at the start of a "streaming" ingest - See the workflow to be launched as soon as the streaming ingest has been started.
Possible Workflow to be launched at the end of streaming ingest - In case of a streaming Ingest, this workflow is launched as soon as the ingest ends. If this workflow has not been set, the workflow (...after an ingest) set above is launched.
NB: Please note that this workflow can be also set under the Etere Configuration > Configuration Editor > Workflow > Default workflows section.
T-Workflow to launch after a scheduled ingest - Set here the T-workflow to be automatically launched for assets at the end of their regular ingest through Scheduled Ingest.
T-Workflow to be launched at the start of a "streaming" scheduled ingest - Set here the T-workflow to be automatically launched for assets at the end of their streaming ingest through Scheduled Ingest.
Workflow to launch at Start ingest in Multifunction / Easy Ingest - Specify a T-workflow to be launched when a Multifunction ingest or Easy ingest is started. If this parameter is configured in workstation, it take precedence over all other T-workflows. This parameter is only valid for facilitating Multifunction ingest.
Workflow to launch at Confirm ingest in Multifunction /Easy Ingest - Specify a T-workflow to be launched when confirmation is received for Multifunction ingest or Easy ingest. If this parameter is configured in workstation, it take precedence over all other T-workflows. This parameter is only valid for facilitating Multifunction ingest.
Workflow to launch at Abort ingest in Multifunction / Easy Ingest - Specify a T-workflow to be launched when NO confirmation from operator to proceed with Multifunction ingest or Easy ingest. If this parameter is configured in workstation, it take precedence over all other T-workflows. This parameter is only valid for facilitating Multifunction ingest.
Aspect Ratio Conversion - Enable the "Activate ARC" option to configure the conversion profiles to be used for preview by the external Aspect Ratio Converter (see Configuration > ARC from Ingest).
If enabled, Etere Ingest will automatically activate the GPI signals combination for triggering the conversion (e.g. on a external device) when previewing assets. Please note that Easy and Multifunction Ingest will allow using only profiles configured here.
If disabled, for TNT and MTX servers (see MTX > Embedded ARC) the conversion will be natively performed whereas for other devices no conversion will be performed.
NB: In order to be used, GPI boards must be assigned to the current user for "ingest".
Ask for the aspect ratio when a ingest operation starts - Enable this option to ask (before the ingest starts) for the conversion profile to be used for the Aspect Ratio Conversion enabled above.
Loudness Calculation - If enabled, a [LOUDNESS] button will be available on each new ingest operation to trigger the loudness calculation (the VTR will be put in preview for the entire duration of the ingest operation based on the specified tape marks). Supported remote triggering methods include:
•Controlled via GPI: Select the GPI to be reset, the one to be activated at the mark-in and the one activated at the mark-out.
•Controlled via Tektronix WVR8000: Specify the IP address, communication port and version of the Tektronix loudness monitoring device available in the network. Please note that a [test] button will allow to test the connection to the device before applying changes.
This feature will be available only from the Easy Ingest and Multi Ingest modules, can be used to
automatically handle the Loudness during an ingest operation, that is, to calculate the volume level.
Default Configuration if the PC has the GPI card - This options enables parameters for ingest recordings to be configured and set as default if the PC has the GPI card. Once parameters are configured, select "Apply" to apply settings.
