Media Asset Management

59.2.43.3 Etere

The ETERE node of the Experimental class is the section where all of Etere's system metadata are contained, including the following elements:

Loudness - A decimal real number (measured in dB) automatically calculated by content check each time launched via T-workflow for a specific asset.
The loudness metadata is used, for example, by Etere Executive Editor to calculate and analyse the loudness of a certain television daily schedule and point out abrupt loudness variations between events.
It is important to note that content check only analyses the loudness of media files featuring a sample rate between 40 and 52Khz. Therefore, all proxy files generated by Etere are created using a default audio sample rate of 48khz to improve the functioning of the content check loudness check.
NB: This field is associated by default with the "Etere metadata > MAM > Loudness Control" item.
CMS execution date - The date and time (e.g. 2011/10/09 12:49:55) of the last content check been performed for the asset.
NB: This field is associated by default with the "Etere metadata > MAM > CMS execution date" item.
CMS source codec - The media codec (e.g. wmv) used by content check at the last content check performed for the asset.
NB: This field is associated by default with the "Etere metadata > MAM > CMS source codec" item.
Asset status - The current status of the quality control of the asset (displayed as read-only under the asset's Flexi-metadata tab) which could be:
Unknown - The asset doesn't currently have a determined status.
Valid - The asset is considered valid for transmission.
Rejected - The asset has been rejected for transmission.
Censored - The asset has been censored for transmission.
Approved - The asset has been approved for transmission.
Erased - The asset has been deleted.
Transferred - The asset has been moved.
NB: This field is associated by default with the "Etere metadata > MAM > Asset status" item.
Original source - See Original source chapter.
File Info - See File Info chapter.
Media Info - See Media Info chapter.
Baton - See Baton chapter.
Cerify - See Cerify chapter.
File transmission - The "file transmission" contains some information related to the playout of an asset. Information includes:
Transmission code - The code of the asset in the Media Library.
Transmission title - The title of the asset in the Media Library.
Transmission type - The type of the asset in the Media Library.
Transmission System-channel - The playout channel users.
Expiry date - The date and time the asset would be transmitted.
Audio peak level - Value (dB) of the "audio peak level" detected during the last content check.
Audio peak frame - Frame in which the "audio peak level" was detected in the previous content check.
Audio wave clipping count - Number of times an "audio wave clipping" was detected during the last content check.
Last ingest operation - The last Operation used to ingest the media of an asset.
After ingest, it is possible to change the type of Flexi-metadata in the last ingest by right-clicking on the "Last Ingest Operation" and selecting the “Edit" option.  In the Edit dialogue box, the type of Flexi-metadata ingest is displayed in the "Type” parameter; by clicking on the "Change Type" button, it allows to convert the type of Flexi-metadata from one type to another.  The possible conversion includes:

• INT -> STRING
• INT -> REAL
• REAL -> STRING
• REAL -> INT
• STRING -> INT
• STRING -> REAL
• DATETIME -> STRING

Last ingest username - The User who ingested the last media.
Last ingest station - The Station where the last media of an asset was ingested.
Graphic type - The graphic defined in the asset.  The type of graphic could be text, graphics, image, image sequence, video, flash, crawling ticker, rolling ticker, or ticker.
