Settings Tabs

71.16.2.3 General 2

In the General 2 tab it will be possible to define some devices related to the ingestion process and :
Default router - Select a default router (and optionally other for backup) by dragging it from the resource tree placed on the right.
❑Waiting between Preset/Take: Set a waiting time (in milliseconds) between Preset and Take to take place.

Opening Video Sever Ports - If enabled, ports (decoders and encoders) will be opened in "locked mode".
Locked ports can not be used by another users while you are using them, it prevents your resources to be undesirably reset.

Remote Control Panel - Indicate the com port on which the panel is connected, otherwise leave it at 0,

Jog & Shuttle on Imagine protocol - If enabled, the displacement buttons will be enabled in the Ingest modules, otherwise (disabled), they will be disabled. Disable it if, for example, the video server doesn't allow to carry out jog & shuttle (quick movement through a clip).

Check counter during ingest - Use this option to check (in both Easy and Multifunction Ingest) if the counter is running or not, set the time (in seconds) between each check. Set a higher value (e.g.: 36000) if you don't intend to use this feature.

Delete - Set here the behaviour of the Delete module when using it for deleting media:
•Minimum elapsed time: To consider an asset as erasable (e.g. if set on 6, all the assets which have been broadcasted in the last six hours will not can be erased).
•Set media to 0 even if deletion fails: That is, erase the content of the asset's Media field (delete any link to media files) even if the deletion could not have been completed.
•Delete scheduled media without any warning: If disabled (default), the operator will be warned every time he attempts to delete a media linked to an asset scheduled in a future playlist which is currently open by another user, indicating that said playlist must be closed to allow the deletion to proceed.
If enabled, media linked to assets scheduled in future playlists will be deleted without any warning.
•Allow deletions on inactive Video Servers with a configured path: If disabled (default), it won't be possible to select for deletion inactive video-servers (i.e. which resources are not assigned to the current Ingest user).
If enabled, it will be possible to manually select the inactive video servers (with at least one configured path) for performing the deletion.
•Security margin: Specify a time (in seconds) used to shrink the ingested space on tapes.

Resource to use - Select the video server where the deletion will be performed by default.
