Scheduled Ingest

9.4.3 New planned scheduled-live ingests

In this section it's possible to create a new ingest operation to record live events scheduled in a defined period of time. The recording will start and end along with the live event and the router source channel taken by ingest will be the same as the one set for the asset live.

Etere Ingest will look for all the live events matching the criteria described below, in the schedule day included in the range specified.

Once the ingest operations are configured and saved, they can be perfomed by Etere Ingest service or Etere Ingest application.

These are the parameters that should be set to create the ingest operation:

  • Code: An automatically assigned code for the ingest operation. The Code is always displayed as “0” during the creation phase; a new code would be automatically assigned when saving the operation in the database.
  • Description: A short description to identify the ingest operation.
  • REC with TCIN: Enable this option to record the asset with the start timecode;

DESTINATION

  • Channel: Specify the destination device channel used for ingest;

PERIODICAL REPETITION

  • Date from - Date to: Specify the dates range where Etere Ingest have to search for the live events to record, according also to the following parameters.
  • Record: Choose if Ingest have to consider all the live events scheduled in the range or only those with the secondary event Auto Ingest (see chapter 84.2.4.3 Auto Ingest for further information about the secondary event).
  • Days of the week: Select a day or multiple days within the week to search the live event to record.

SOURCE

  • Router Resource: Indicate the router resource used for ingest;
  • Input channel (Main): Indicate the main input channel to be used for ingest operation;

START / STOP

  • Start: Select whether to start the ingest operation at a fixed time or via GPI signal.
  • Stop: Similarly, select whether to stop the ingest operation at a fixed time or via GPI signal.
