Resource Configuration

59.6.2.350 Utah Scientific - Utah PL-320 resource editor

The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:

•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: PL-320 , UTAH , UTAHIP
If the driver is UTAH or UTAHIP, it is necessary also to set the following data:
✓Controller, Controller of the router SC-3, SC-4, UTAH-200. (default is SC-4)
If the driver is UTAHIP via IP, it is necessary also to set the following data:
✓IP Address: Indicate the IP address of the machine (e.g.: 195.120.154.12)
✓Local Port: Indicate the Local Port of the machine (default=5001 for SC-3 e SC-4, 5002 for UTAH-200).
•Model: choose the model among the available ones
If the model is not included in the list, choose GENERIC and indicate the number of Inputs and Outputs of the model you have (this is the only case you have to set these parameters).
•Channel's number: insert the number of the router's inputs and outputs.
•Router switching levels: Some routers allow you to determine the switching levels, that is, to define what has to be switched (Audio only, Audio and Video, Video only, serial port, etc.). If your router offers this option, levels can be set here. In Etere, you have three kinds of switching: AUDIO/VIDEO, SERIAL PORT, and TIMECODE and for each, you can determine the levels to be installed.
example: If, on your router, Video corresponds to level 1 and Audio corresponds to level 2, you must activate levels 1 and 2 in the AUDIO/VIDEO box
if the switching of a possible serial port corresponds to level 4, activate level 4 on the SERIAL PORT box
(if your router does not offer this possibility, leave all levels installed)

NB: When connecting to ETX Master Control via TCP/IP, you must use the "RCP-3 protocol" to establish the connection.

* Serial connection wire: unknown. Please contact device support.

Utah PL-320 resource editor - User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:

Com port setting:

The video router can be controlled directly through a serial connection (in this case, you have to set the com number) or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses). If it uses EtereSarvaji, the parameter XOn/XOff must be set.

Com configuration:

You can configure the com the way you want.
Default values are:
Baud: 9600
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Data bits: 8

Backup Router

If you wish to manage another router as the Backup router, activate this option, insert com data, or leave the option blank.

The backup router must be completely THE SAME as the main one.
