8.3 HSM Headquarters service

Etereweb provides a console to monitor HSM headquarters service and display information about the connection to a library and scheduled activities.

Preliminary steps

In order to work correctly, some operations need to be done first.

- HSM resources and library resources must be configured in Etere, using Etere Configuration > Resources Editor.
- HSM Headquarters service must be installed in the Etere system (it can be installed in any Etere PC).
- HSM Robotics service must be installed in the PC where the library is connected to.
- Once the resource has been added in Etere, the library must be configured also in HSM Headquarters Service monitor application.

How the console works

In the field HSM Headquarters Service host, must be specified the name of the PC where the Headquarters service is running. Click the Change button to modify this field.

Start/Stop monitoring: These buttons allow to establish or interrupt the connection to the headquarters service running on the server specified above. The result of the connection attempt is displayed below the buttons as well as the headquarters role (master or clone).

Resources that HSM Headquarters can use: This section allows to change the resources (configured in Etere) to be used by HSM Headquarters and to notify the change to the service.

Libraries connected by Headquarters Service: Here is displayed a list of the library devices currently used by HSM Headquarters service.

Activity: In this table, a summary of the operations Headquarters is currently carrying out is displayed. For each one it's possible to see the last and the next planned execution.
