The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: Shows the resource type
•Number: The original number that identifies the resource.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: The name and description of the resource.
•Driver: GVNP
•Model: KUMO Compact SDI Router
AJA Kumo video router used industry-standard Grass Valley native protocol over serial connection RC-422 or Even Ethernet.
If the model is not included in the list, choose GENERIC and indicate the number of Inputs and Outputs of your model (this is the only case in which you have to set these parameters).
•Channel's number: Insert the number of the router's inputs and outputs.
In KUMO, there are:
- Kumo 1604: with 16 SDI inputs and 4 outputs
- Kumo 1616: with 16 SDI inputs and 16 SDI outputs
- Kumo 3232: with 32 SDI inputs and 32 outputs
•Router switching levels: Some routers allow the determination of switching levels, that is, defining what has to be switched (Audio only, Audio and Video, Video only, serial port, etc.). If your router offers this option, levels can be set here. In Etere, you have three kinds of switching: AUDIO/VIDEO, SERIAL PORT, and TIMECODE and for each of them, you can determine the levels to be installed.
Example.: if, on your router, Video corresponds to level 1 and Audio corresponds to level 2, you must activate levels 1 and 2 in the AUDIO/VIDEO box; if the switching of a possible serial port corresponds to level 4, activate level 4 on the SERIAL PORT box. (if your router does not offer this possibility, leave all levels installed).
IMPORTANT:
Resources management and creation are only available for new resources.
AJA KUMO used port 12345 for communication via industry-standard Grass Valley Native Protocol or Ethernet.
Network interface: 10/100/1000 Ethernet (RJ-45)
AJA Kumo Compact SDI Router - resource editor - User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set other data:
Com port setting:
AJA Kumo video router used industry-standard Grass Valley native protocol over serial connection RC-422 or Even Ethernet.
Network interface: 10/100/1000 Ethernet (RJ-45)
Com configuration:
The com is configured in a fixed way with the following parameters:
Baud: 38400
Parity: Odd
Stop bits: 1
Data bits: 8
Backup Router
If you wish to manage another router as the Backup router, activate this option, insert com data, or leave the option blank.
The backup router must be completely THE SAME as the main one.
