If you assign EPG data to scheduled blocks, creating homogeneous blocks is recommended; it can prevent a diversity of contents that could cause incongruence between events and their EPG description. To assign default EPG schemas to blocks, follow the procedure described below:
1. Right-click on the block to which you intend to assign EPG Data; blocks are positioned at the top left of the window (see the What is Weekly Schedule module for a descriptive image).
2. Click on the 'Edit block' option and launch the Block Editor, allowing you to change the various block properties, among which is the 'Default EPG' option; click on it and select the EPG Schema that would associated with this block each time it is scheduled.
3. A list containing all the available EPG schemas is displayed. Select the schema and press 'OK'. If there is only one EPG schema, it will open automatically.
4. In the next window, you can modify all the available fields according to the events contained in the block (i.e. if it includes music, movies, etc).
5. Once completed, save your EPG data and close the window now; EPG data has been successfully assigned to the selected block.
Removing EPG Data from Blocks
To remove EPG Data of a single scheduled block, right-click on the block and select 'EPG Data'; a window containing its EPG Data will open; click on the 'Delete' (X) button to remove its EPG Data.
If you want to remove the EPG Data of various blocks at the same time, press the Ctrl key, select the block(s) you wish to edit, go to the menu 'Tools > EPG' and select "Remove EPG Data from selected blocks" option.
NB: Every time you copy blocks (individually or by entire days) to another day, EPG data in the source blocks will be automatically copied to the destination blocks. Consult the Scheduling chapter for an entire day for information on copying blocks.
