In order to link a video file stored in the videoserver (and already linked to an existing asset form) to a new asset form, take the following steps:
1.Create a new Asset form,
2.Go into the Technical Data section, right-click on the file's list and select Add Media, compile it as described below:
•In the Support Name field insert the name to be used within the Etere system (e.g.: CLIP-007),
•Selected the Device on which the video file is stored,
•Select the codec of the video file,
•Optionally set its SOM and duration (if you want to take only a fragment of the video file),
•Tick off the offline option if the video file is currently not available,
•If the video file has been archived, you can select the path from the ones present in the selected device and insert the name of the video file.
3.Save all changes in the new Asset form,
4.Go to the Media tab and play its high quality preview, in this way the markers and physical duration of the new asset will be updated automatically,
5.You can always change manually the SOM and EOM values.
