Import Scope
The "ULIFE ASSET CSV" import allows you to import assets from a .csv file.
The imported file will have the following characteristics:
A line for each asset.
Each line contains 18 separate data from (,)
If the card asset there IS CREATED, and updates all data.
Note:
This is applicable if the card asset already exists.
If it is registered, we are not updating the physical data (term,). Only the descriptive data will be updated (description, production date, etc.).
Import parameters
The following parameters needs to be defined:
Import_custom_ulife_asset_csv
File to import: Specify the location path and file name to be import. You can use the browse button to locate the file in local or network drive.
Parameters:
•Default Role for Artists: Select a role from the list as default role for artists when importing the CSV file.
When all required parameters and fields are fulfilled, click the <Save Parameters> to confirm the input
Launch the import
Once all parameters have been correctly set, just press the <Import> button to launch the import operation.
Sample file to import
Before you import the file, please check the following is in place:
Must have a .csv extension.
Must have in each row 18 (,).
If the first line begins with "use1, use2, use3, tails, 'and', they are considered as a header and is fine.
The 'production date', if it exists, must be formatted properly. The format is YYYY / MM / DD.
The 'expiry date', if it exists, must be formatted properly. The format is ' YYYY / MM / DD.
The 'code' must not be longer than 32 characters.
The 'genres code', if present in the file, must not be longer than 4 characters. And it must exist in either.
The 'type', if present in the file, must not be longer than 4 characters. And they must exist in either. If empty, it is taken as '0000 '.
The lines without 'code' are not imported.
If the file contains even a single mistake, it will not be imported.
During the import, please take note of the following:
Blank lines in the file are skipped.
If the 'code' is missing, the row is skipped.
Artists that do not exist in either are created.
