Action Description
The "Set HSM File archiving media pool" action allows specifying to the T-workflow the exact media pool(s) in which files are expected to be archived.
This action is beneficial when archive libraries are in different geographical locations; it will allow us to, for example, configure the closest library as the default one. For detailed information and examples of this feature, please refer to the HSM predefined archive.
Action Parameters
To create this action, we must name the action and select the codec of the files, which will be restored by filling in the following data:
Parameters
Name - Insert a short descriptive name for the action (e.g. "Set HSM archiving to MP-Programmes")
HSM archiving media pool 1 - Select the first media pool in which files processed through this action should be archived.
HSM archiving media pool 2 - Select the second media pool in which files processed through this action should be archived.
HSM archiving media pool 3 - Select the third media pool in which files processed through this action should be archived.
It's worth mentioning that the HSM media pool 1,2 and 3 fields are related to the following FileInfo's flexi-metadata: HSMArchiveMediaPool1, HSMArchiveMediaPool2 and HSMArchiveMediaPool3.
These metadata must be enabled in Etere Configuration > Settings > Flexi-metadata, for the group set as Default for metafiles.
How to use it
Once created to be used, this action must be included in a T-workflow, after a Set current metafile action (which is mandatory to tell for which metafile the metadata have to be set), and then attached and launched for the asset(s) to be archived.
