The 'Insert Starting and Ending Jingles and Fillers' function allows to insert (in rotating basis) all available pre-configured jingles and fillers at the start and at the end of the segment. In order to use this function, the following parameters must be specified:
Filters
•Starting jingle: Indicates the jingle (or set of rotation jingles) available for being inserted into the selected timeframe.
•Ending jingle: Indicates the jingle (or set of rotation jingles) available for being inserted into the selected timeframe.
•From - To: Specify the date range and the segment types in which the jingles should appear.
•Types: Indicate the segment types (e.g. news, commercials, seasons, etc) for which the insertion will be performed.
•Ad Insertion: Specify the ad insertion networks on which the insertion will be performed:
All splits (and AD Insertion main segments) - Insert jingles/fillers across all Ad Insertion segments of the main and regional networks.
AD Insertion 0 - Insert jingles/fillers exclusively across all non Ad Insertion segments of the main network.
AD Insertion "n" - Insert jingles/fillers only across the ad insertion segments of the selected regional network
Operations
•Intercluster: Enable it to insert jingles between events (and not only at the start and end of segments). Additionally, set the number of events between which intercluster jingles should be inserted (i.e. each event, each two events, each three events, etc.).
•Starting and Ending jingles: Enable it to insert to starting and ending jingles. These jingles will be inserted either, across all the selected networks for events common to all networks (e.g. national spots) or only on a certain network for ad insertion events (e.g. contractual ad insertion commercials).
•Fillers: Enable it to insert fillers in all the networks with segments shorter than an equivalent segment on another ad insertion network.
•Return jingles: Enable it to insert return jingles only in the first ad insertion network (i.e. network 1)
Press the [Start] button to launch the insertion. Once the insertion ends, a report would be displayed indicating all successful and unsuccessful operations (e.g. skipped empty or incompatible segments).
Fillers and jingles configuration
In order to be inserted, fillers and jingles (starting, ending and return) needs to be added and configured for the selected timeframe under the following sections:
•Fillers: Etere Configuration > Settings > Air Sales > Fillers
•Jingles: Etere Configuration > Settings > Air Sales > Jingles
