Set in the General 3 tab some parameters related to specific ingest features such as:
Set main-backup ingesting assets as streaming - Enable it in case an asset is intended to be ingested contemporaneously in both the Main and Backup Servers, it will be automatically set as streaming.
Set all ingesting assets as streaming - All assets will be set as streaming during their ingesting stage, this, independently of the server on which are being ingested. This parameter is valid also for assets ingested with Etere Multichannel Ingest client-server.
Multifunction and Easy Ingest are not zero-based - Enable it in case you wish to ingest (from either a VTR or a Satellite) using a time code (see Ingesting using Time Code).
Shuttle Pro Contour - Enable this option only if a 'Shuttle Pro Contour' device will be used during the ingest.
Ask to set Audio after ingesting - If enabled, it will be required to set the audio once the ingest process is finished, otherwise you will not be able to save the ingested media.
Ask to set Quality when ingest ends - If enabled, it will be required to set the quality once the ingest operation is finished, otherwise you will not be able to save the ingested media.
Use the Cart - Enable this option to use a Cart machine (configured in Etere Configuration | Resources) for both, Easy and Multi-function ingest. Please note that this option needs EtereCart to be configured and running.
Set the preview Track Bar as the physical duration - If enabled, it will be possible to set the Track Bar (during the preview of video files) to the value of the physical duration of the video file. If disabled, the Track Bar will be set to the physical duration minus one frame (i.e. track bar = physical_duration - 1).
Show possible on-air insertion - If enabled, at the end of an easy or multi-function ingest a form will be displayed for allowing a quick insertion of the ingested asset into the schedule at level 702 (i.e. protected from deletion).
ETX- View the VMeter during ingest - If this option is enabled, during ingest with ETX, user is able to view the audio vmeter in ETX preview window during recording.
Request the insert of the Sponsor’s SOM at the end of the ingest - Enable this option to set the SOM and the DURATION of the sponsor at the end of ingest, this would enable user to validate the data during the quality control phase.
NB: This parameter is only valid for FACILITATED RECORDINGS and QUALITY CONTROL.
•In Quality Control, if you double-click the SOM in the sponsor dialog, the SOM and EOM would be filled with timecode of the viewing window.
•In Quality Control, if the SOM is not set and Timecode remains 0 before closing sponsor dialog, warning message would be prompt to alert user.
Lock to Rec - Set the delay (seconds) for confidence monitoring during ingest, that is, specify the time difference between the current ingest counter and the confidence monitor counter.
NB: Confidence monitoring can be activated for streamable files under Easy Ingest (setting the confidence resource in parameters) and Multifunction Ingest (dragging and dropping a decoder onto the confidence monitor box).
Report the mistaken TC of the video files during the preview phase - If enabled, detected differences between physical data and this stored in the database will be reported through a warning message; otherwise (if disable), detected differences will be corrected silently.
Check logical space in the video server - If enabled, it will be possible to ingest into a video server only if it counts with enough space for the entire ingested media. Please note that the video server space is managed from the Etere Configuration > Settings > Devices > Cloud-devices section.
Manage the logical lock of video server channels - If disabled (default), the "locked" status of encoders/decoders will be handled by video servers (to prevent their use by applications other than the current one).
If enabled, channels will be logically locked by Etere during their use. Turn on this option in case your video server doesn't support physically locking channels.
The option only works if the channel is connected to the video server.
NB: Refer to the "Logically Lock VS Channels" chapter n° 71.18.14.0 for detailed information this feature.
NB: locking a resource channel has effect also on preview channels in order to display the preview on Executive Editor. In that case a popup will appear asking you if you want to unlock it.
Use video server's aspect ratio conversion - If enabled (default), activates the use of the embedded ARC of the video server used for ingest operations.
In preview phase put in STOP when I move the track bar - If enabled, the STOP button would be in forced during ingest preview when shuffling the track bar of the clip to the expected duration.
Minumum duration of recordings - Set the value for minimum duration managed by Multifunction Ingest and Easy Ingest modules: in this way, if during a live recording the user needs to increase the duration, that will be the limit value.
Easy Ingest and Multifunction Ingest - Audio Channels to be shown on VMeter - Set the number of VMeter to be shown on preview windows during the recording on Easy and Multifunction Ingest. This value will be also used to add VMeters on the Quality Check module.
