Etere allows controlling OGDEN routing devices either via ethernet or serial.
This form allows you to define the general characteristics of an Odgen router device:

Code- The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed.
Type - Shows the type to which the resource belongs.
Number - Ordinal Number that differentiates the resource from others of the same type.
Driver - Select the driver to be used to control the Odgen video router:
ODGEN: Command the router via serial
ODGENIP: Command the router via IP Standard
EtereSW: It is no longer in use; it's maintained only for compatibility.
Password - Enter the password to be used to access the router remotely.
RESOURCE PROPERTIES
Name - A brief description that identifies the resource must be inserted.
IP Address - In case the selected protocol is IP-based (ODGENIP), it will be required to set the IP address of the device (e.g. 123.456.789.1).
Local Port - If the selected protocol is IP-based (ODGENIP), it will be required to set the device's local port. The default value for the standard protocol is "8000".
E19 Resource ID- Optionally, insert the ID of the resource created under the Resource Editor module for this resource. This identification number is used, for example, to check the storage space usage of the resource.
RESOURCE PARAMETERS
Number of channels - Enter the input and output channels the resource provides. You can change the Number of channels at any time according to your needs. To add some, you only need to raise the number of channels, while to decrease them, you must delete them one by one from the general form RESOURCE EDITOR with the [Delete Resource] button.
Router switching levels - Some routers allow one to define more commutation levels, choosing what to switch (only audio, audio and video, only video, serial, time code, etc.). This option allows you to set these different levels. Etere supports three kinds of commutation – audio/video, serial, and time code – and choosing the level to activate for every type of commutation is possible. For instance:
•If the router has the video at level 1 and audio at level 2, enable levels 1 and 2 in the AUDIO/VIDEO panel;
•If on the router any serial commutation is at level 4, enable level 4 in the SERIAL panel;
(Leave all levels checked if the router doesn't offer this possibility).
Once compiled, click the [Confirm] button to add the DSK resource to the Resources tree. Afterwards, it will be possible to configure the following:
Device users: Select the resource and click the [Users] button.
Ogden resource editor - User
Indicate which user and the Etere module will be allowed to use the resource:

Resource - Code of the resource.
Name - Name of the resource.
ID Number - Identification number of the resource.
USER INFORMATION
PC Name - Indicate the specific workstation (user) for which the resource will be allowed. Once selected, it will be automatically retrieved and displayed the ID number and PC name corresponding to the selected user.
Function - Indicate the module (function) on which the user mentioned above will be allowed to use the resource in question
USER PARAMETERS
The Backup router is managed with the two network cards, which can be set in the resource.
User rights - The router is permanently configured as Master; configure it as Slave only when part of an Open Master Control.
In case the router driver is serial (ODGEN), it is necessary to configure the following data:

Com Number - If the LOGO can be controlled directly through a serial connection, set the com number of the computer that the device is connected to.
Via UDP - In case the LOGO can be controlled directly through UDP with the Etere Sarvaji software, indicate the IP address of the computer that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses for listening.
Com configuration: - Available configurations include: Baudrate (default=19200), Parity (default=N), Databits (default=8) and Stopbits (default=1).
NB: The resource must be set with the default data displayed here.
422 - Device (out): Indicate the no. of the device to be activated when you open the resource.(-1=not installed
Controller (in): Indicate the no. of the controller to be activated when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
NB: In exceptional cases where you have a centralized video router, which allows one to commute serial ports, set the data above to 422.
