Manage Commercial Orders

54.2.2.10 Rules

You can select which scheduling rules to follow in the Rules section based on the client's requirements. Once the rules are selected, in the assignment of space (scheduling), they will allow a controlled and user-defined automatic scheduling process.

Parameter - Scheduling Modes
Description:  Select one among the following supported scheduling modes:

Priority - The event will be scheduled consistently in the same segment position, and the space will be assigned based on the user-defined parameters

Parameter - Weekdays
Description:  For each rule or method of scheduling, you can define which day(s) of the week the rule considers. In the scheduling phase, this is then adhered to (unless you manually change it in the scheduling phase of assigning space). For example, suppose you set the 'Priority' rule with only Sunday activated. When assigning space, if you choose the 'Priority' method, space will only be considered on Sundays. However, during the scheduling phase, you can also choose whether to apply the rules to only specific days (s) of the week or all of them.

Parameter - Check product code
Description:  Enable this parameter to avoid scheduling order lines across those segments which already contain a commercial with the same product category.

NB: When scheduling commercials across split networks, the system will check for conflicts between commercials scheduled in the main network and those scheduled in the split network.

Parameter - Top
Description:  The event will be scheduled in the top segment of the block (if available). Otherwise, it will be scheduled closest to the top segment.

Parameter - Bottom
Description:  The event will be scheduled in the bottom segment of the block (if available). Otherwise, it will be designed closest to the bottom segment.

Parameter - Ignore insertion rules but log the event
Description:  If activated, the scheduling process will ignore rules but record them in the scheduling report.

Parameter - Ignore insertion
Description:  Enabled this parameter ONLY if intended to ignore rules completely.
