This form allows you to define the general characteristics of the SeaChange video server.
Fields automatically updated when the Resource is added are:
•Code: the path of the Resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal Number that identifies that Resource in case others of the same type coexist.
Other fields to be filled in by the user are:
•Name: enter a description that identifies the Resource (for example. SeaChange Workstation 1, SeaChange Ingest 1)
•Number of channels: enter the Number of input and output channels in the SeaChange resource. You can change the channels quantity at any time, according to your needs; to add some, you only need to raise the Number of channels, while to decrease them, you must delete them one by one from the general form RESOURCE EDITOR with the Cancel Resource button.
•Characteristics:
✓Preroll Time - Indicate the time (in mmsec.) the videoserver takes to carry out the preroll (default value 0)
✓Skip Time - Indicate the time (in mmsec.) the videoserver takes to skip from one video file to another during the on-air (default value 0).
✓CueRec Time- Indicate the time (in mmsec.) the videoserver takes to CueRec a video file (default value 0)
•IP Address: Indicate the IP address of the SeaChange node (es.: 195.120.154.12)
•Remote Port: Indicate the Remote Port of the SeaChange node (default=7000)
NB.: The IP ADDRESS and REMOTE PORT data are used for commanding the SeaChange through the net (not through the serial wire); in this case, the driver SEANET must be set on the channel.
Press Confirm to add a SeaChange resource, indicating channel number, to the resources tree.
You will then have to configure the Channels. Go to the channel and press Modify Resource to carry out this operation.
