Logging is an important function, available in all Etere modules. Log files, written by the software, hold all task traces executed by the application, their interaction, and interaction between software and other devices connected to the software.
Log files can be very helpful to understand and solve software and device problems, their creation has the following characteristics:
•All logs are located in the local directory C: (or another local drive):\etere\log\user.00x\,
•The directory is shared with EtereLog name, and it is accessible from every workstation in the network,
•In the form where "Save Log" is available, logs are compressed and saved in the Etere local installation directory (i.e. C:\program files\Etere\Log\Saved),
•The file zip name, holds logs consisting of: [ModuleName], [UserName], [PCName], [Date-time].zip (where date = yymmdd, time = hhmmss),
•The zip file created by log rescue can be sent automatically, with an appropriate utility, to the Etere ftp web site, reserved to customer assistance,
•To do that, when you open the rescue log window, you have to tick the option "upload automatically file on the Etere ftp site".
