59.5.4.34 Free Spaces

Report Description

The Free Spaces report is a quick way to see what free spaces are available in a schedule (both commercial spaces and program spaces) to run the 'Free Spaces' report. This can be run based on a specific block schedule type and for a particular day or days.

Schedule segments displayed in this report will be progressively numbered for both programs and (different) commercials.

Report Filters

All the parameters that permit detailed report generation have been spread across seven different tabs to allow for a more straightforward configuration. By default, all filters are disabled (i.e., they are either blank or unselected); to enable them it is enough to configure at least one parameter on their inside. Available filters include:

Date range: Specify the period from which data will be retrieved; it can be a period of a maximum of 18 days,

Schedule type: Empty by default, it allows to specify the ONLY kind of schedule (i.e., the daily schedule) that will be taken into account for generating the report,

Blocks: Select the block(s) that will be exclusively analyzed for the report. It is possible to select various blocks by holding the CTRL key,

Report date: If enabled, the date on which the report is being generated will be displayed on the footer of all pages,

Page number: If enabled, the page number will be displayed in the footer of all report pages,

Free space: If enabled, it displays free space measured in seconds (difference between story duration and real used space),

Used space: If enabled, it displays used space in the story (the sum of the duration of all scheduled events),

Used percentage: If enabled, it displays the percentage of used space,

Crowding: If enabled, it displays the percentage of time crowding,

Only commercial segments: Enable this option to include in the report only those segments defined to hold commercial events,

Station: Choose the station from which season' scheduled data will be retrieved,

Split: Select the code of the split network on which the schedules to be analyzed are made.

Report Preview

The [Settings] permits configuring the page layout of the outgoing document; once filters and settings have been set, it will be possible to select between displaying a preview using the related [Preview] button or printing the document directly using the [Report] button. Please note that some reports permit the export of the generated document in the most common formats (PDF, CSV, DOC, XLS, XML, etc) just by using the [Export] button.
