Resource Configuration

59.6.2.223 Axon - NV5128 resource editor

The AXON NV5128 master control needs to be set in Etere by specifying the following parameters:

Fixed information
The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
Code: Shows the path for the resource being edited.
Type: Shows the resource's type.
Number: Shows the number identifying the resource in case others of the same type are present.

Editable information
The user must define the following information:
Name: Description of the resource being edited.
Driver: Select one of the following available drivers:
- AXONNV5128MC
- AXONNV5128FAST
Config: Indicate the transition speed in mmsec (possible values 500, 1000, 2000)
Transaction speed: (Slow, Medium, Fast, Indicate the time of the three transition speeds in milliseconds.)
Number of channels: specify the number of input channels (the output channel is one). This info is used to edit the channels in the Router configuration.
Delay preset/take: Set the time delay (in milliseconds) for executing preset and take commands.

Connection cable
The serial cable used is the standard RS-422 (the same used for VTR devices)—for example, the SMPTE-207 cable.

Controlling protocol
The NV5128 MC is controlled using the m-2100 automation protocol via serial RS-422.

DSK Resources
Once the resource is created (i.e. saved), there will be automatically created 8 DSK resources connected to the ICONMASTER, resources that will have to be opportunely configured. The driver manages eight keyers, mapped in this way on the physical master control:
- Keyer1 Etere: Upstream keyer (MC Keyer 1)
- Keyer2 Etere: DSK1 (MC Keyer 2)
- Keyer3 Etere: DSK2 (MC Keyer 3)
- Keyer4 Etere: Logo A
- Keyer5 Etere: Squeeze/Crop
- Keyer6 Etere: Logo B
- Keyer7 Etere: MC Keyer 4 or Squeeze/Crop 2 if supported by Hardware
- Keyer8 Etere: MC Keyer 5 if supported by Hardware

NV5128 resource editor - User
After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set the other data:

Com port setting
The machine can be controlled directly through a serial connection; in this case, you have to set the com number or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses.

Com configuration
The com data present in this area is fixed and set as follows:
- Baud rate: 38400
- Parity: N
- Databits: 8
- Stop bits: 1
If the UDP option is enabled, it will be required to specify, instead, the IP address and local port provided by the device for communication and control.

422
-Device (out): Indicate the no. of the device to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
-Controller (in): Indicate the no. of the controller to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
NB: Only in special cases where you have a centralized video router, which allows you to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422.
NB: Please note that ONLY level 1 must be set to be used with Etere (other levels are not supported).
