The ORADMAESTRO driver needs the following data to be compiled:
•Automation Data:
Etere Automation communicates to the Orad Maestro PC through a TCP/IP to a configurable port:
•IP Address: the address where the Orad server is active for the management of the Chryon protocol
•Local Port: the local port where the Orad server is active for the management of the chryon protocol (default=10001)
•Index Output: output index where to send the video (from 1 upwards)
•Main Preview Data:
It is the Etere Main PC that allows you to preview graphics using Orad Maestro, and it is, therefore, on this PC that various software needs to be installed:
•SQL Data: Name of server and name of Orad database
•Authentication: Authentication mode of the Orad database
•User name and password: to access the SQL identification
•Type of database used: Select between an Orad Maestro or a Cinegy MAM.
Supported Features
Orad supports the following transitions:
•Fixed: sends a template saved in Orad on air,
•Off: no visible effect in Preview, but in broadcast removes the logo,
•Variable, Crawl: allows you to visualise an existing template with the parameter values issued under Text (as with other logos),
•Custom: It manages .ctm files.
ORAD Maestro Software
The Orad Maestro software is part of Orad and, as such, must be requested from Orad; to install it, just follow the next procedure:
1. Setup dongle key driver (hdd32.exe) and insert a dongle key.
2. On the preview PC, you need to install the following Orad Maestro software:
- The Orad Framework: FrameworkXp_3_0_3_6m.exe
- PageBrowser ActiveX: PageBrowserAx_4_6_0_966.exe
- GAM accessor ActiveX: GAMAccessor_4_6_0_938.exe
- Render engine: RenderEngine_4_6_5_566.exe
- ReTalkXml_4_6_1_104.exe
3. Copy the Orad software license file (license.dat) into the Orad installation directory (usually c:\orad) under the subdirectory CommonFiles.
4. Check that the GAM accessor path (generally c:\Orad\GAMAccessor) is present in the PATH system variable.
5. Install the following Etere software: Oradinterface.
6. To allow a Preview of the graphic in question, the Main PC needs access to a shared directory on the Orad PC and be mapped as the G: drive. This is done using an appropriate script created by Orad and set up on the Etere Main PC.

Communication Setup:
The switcher must be set up to communicate with the Char Generator (CG) via an Ethernet connection and associate the video input coming into the switcher from the Char Generator.
•Press Home > Setup > Installation > Com Setup.
•Press Type, use the Com Port knob to select the remote port for the device.
•Use the Device knob to select CG.
•Press Select Device and use the Device knob to select Maestro.
•Press Com Type and use the Type knob to select Network TCP.
•Press Com Settings and use the Client/Server knob to select Client, enter the IP address of the device in the Remote IP Address field and enter Remote Port as 10001.
•Press Extra options and set values:
Option - Show on PV
Value - Yes (default)
Option - BackToBack
Value - No (default)
Option - Display mode
Value - Immediate (default)
•Press Home > Confirm.
Video Input Setup
•Press Home > Setup > Installation > Source Config > Input Type.
•Use the Input knob to select the input video/fill source coming from the CG.
•In the Input Type area, select Char Gen.
•Press More > More.
•Press CG Setup and use the CG and Channel knobs to select the device that the video signal is coming from:
✓For CG, select the device the video signal is coming from
✓For Channel, select the Channel on the device from which the video signal is coming.
•Press Home > Confirm.
