The information displayed in the first part is purely descriptive and shows data already assigned:
•Code: It shows the path of the resource it is editing.
•Type: It shows the type of resource
•Number: It shows the number that identifies the resource if there is more than one of the same type. The user must insert the following information:
•Name: Description of the resource
•Driver: CVNCOM (if controlled by com), CVNIP (if managed by IP)
If the device is controlled by IP, it is necessary to indicate the:
•The IP address:
•Local port (default is 4703)
•Configuration
Logo Generator configured as Set how the logo must be configured (default set is blank)
Enter the connected DSK: set if the DSK is INSIDE or must be connected to a previously configured resource.
(Warning: only activated DSK are shown, so it is necessary first to configure the DSK)
•Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can preset the logo before putting it on air to speed up the operation at the moment of the take. It is possible to use this feature by setting the device in preset/take mode instead of standard mode. The preset/take mode is only advised in the case of commutation in each event. Otherwise, the results could be unpredictable. (set this parameter as default)
•Set how subtitles must be used: "Open subtitles" or "Closed subtitles"
•PlayoutUnit - It indicates what device is being controlled (from 1 to 255)
Further Information:
There are two versions of the driver: one by serial com, the second by TCP/IP
The parameters for the driver are:
- For the serial: the COM number
- For the TCP/IP: IP number and port (default 4703)
For both:
- The parameter (SubOpen) related to the subtitles that say if the subtitles are used as "Open subtitles" or Closed subtitles".
- The parameter (PlayoutUnit) that says what device is being controlled (from 1 to 255)
Cavena Subtitles Management:
The subtitles start if the field TV Guide is = "YC???" with ??? = language code (ITA, ENG, ...) or "***" if you want to use the default language.
The template is the asset code.
Cavena STC Resource Editor - User
After having set in which user and module the resource must be activated, the other data to develop are:
For a device controlled by IP (Driver CVNIP)
Do not make any changes.
For a device controlled by COM (Driver CVNCOM)
Configuration of COM port.
The device can be controlled directly with a serial cable; in this case, it is necessary to set the COM number, or UDP can manage it through the EtereSarvaji software.
Com n.
Set the com number of the pc where the device is connected.
422
Device (out) - Set the n. of the device that must be activated when the resource is opened. (-1=not managed)
Controller (in) - set the n. of the controller that must be activated when the resource is opened. (-1=not managed)
(Only if you have a centralized video router that allows you also to commute the serial, set the data referred to above to 422)
