59.3.9.102 Set original source

Action Description
The "Set source" action allows to set/change the source from which the station acquired the asset (e.g., ingested, transferred, transcoded, etc). Please note that this action can be used with an "Asset custom log" to record the source change in the asset's operations log.

NB: Please note that the source is a Flexi-metadata for handling assets. Further details on this property can be found in the Etere Flexi-metadata chapter.

Action Parameters
Under this section, it is possible to create new actions based on the following parameters:

Name: Give a brief and self-descriptive name to the action (e.g. Set asset as ingested, Set asset as copied, Reset asset source).

Set to Select a specific status for setting the asset form:
ActiveSync (AS) - Etere ActiveSync has acquired the asset media.
Asset form (AF) - The asset media has been acquired through the Etere Media Library.
Conforming (CO) - The asset media has been acquired through a conforming using Etere MAM.
External archive (EX) - The asset media has been acquired through the External Digital Archive service.
File transfer (FT) - The asset media has been acquired through an Etere DataMover transfer.
HSM Recatalogue (HSM) - The asset media has been acquired through the recatalogue function of Etere HSM.
Import (IM) - The asset media has been acquired through an import.
Ingest (IN) - The asset media has been acquired through a standard capture using Etere Ingest.
NLE Transfer (NL) - The asset media has been acquired from a Non-linear Editing system.
Tapeless reception (TR) - The asset media has been acquired through the Etere Tapeless Reception service.
Transcoding (XC) - The asset media has been acquired through transcoding using Etere DataMover.
UDP Transfer (UP) - The asset media has been acquired through a UDP transfer.
Unknown (UK) - The asset media has been acquired from an unknown source (i.e. it is not specified).

NB: Leaving the status empty, the action will "reset" the source to the initial value (i.e. unset).

How to use it
"Set source" actions can be used (in the T-Workflow designer) to indicate, for example, that an asset has been acquired via the web through the tapeless reception service.
