The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: fixed for the machine type, SCREENPS (Polistream Subtitle Transmission Family)
•Server Subtitling name: Channel name assigned to the Subtitler channel on Polistream software. (default=ChannelServer)
•Configuration
The logo generator is configured as follows: Indicate how the logo must be configured.
Enter the connected DSK: Indicate whether the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if one of those in the resources (previously configured) must be connected.
(Warning: you need to configure DSKs first because only installed DSKs are displayed)
•Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can pre-load the logo before sending it ON-AIR in such a way as to speed up the operation at the moment of the take. This possibility can be exploited using preset/take mode instead of standard mode. The preset/take mode is suggested only if a commutation is used for each event. Otherwise, the results could be unpredictable.
Screen Subtitling Resource Editor - User
Indicate which server relates to the Screen subtitles, for example, 'ChannelServer'.
Etere communicates directly with the Polistream Screen Subtitling "Channel Server" via its name (as above). The Channel Server module may move from platform to platform in a redundant situation, thereby changing its IP address. The Channel Server pulls files from a file server and sends them on and off air, controlled by Automation.
