The Programs Scheduler module is the application that allows operators to easily schedule single asset over either short or long-term periods. The Programs Scheduler can be used, for example, to automatically schedule single recursive programs (e.g. live news, TV shows, movies, etc) over a custom date range across all selected and type-specific blocks.
In order to start scheduling a program (e.g. a film, a news), the first step consist in selecting the program to be scheduled, this selection will depend on whether the program is subject to a purchase order:
A.Program subject to broadcasting rights
In case the station has an Etere BMS license (i.e. programs are loaded into the Purchase Orders to manage their broadcast rights), the Programs Scheduler will allow to search and select the order line related to the program to be scheduled taking into account their broadcasting rights:
Airsales_manualscheduler01_z
Scheduling period - Specify the dates interval on which the asset will be scheduled (and for which it must be valid). By default, the proposed period starts from the day after the current date.
NB: Please note that each time the start/date is modified, a check is performed to avoid humans errors (e.g. insert an end date prior to the start one).
Order line - Search and select the order line related to the program intended to be scheduled.
NB: Please note that only those orders lines which are valid for the selected period will be displayed.
Episodes info - Once selected, the "total episodes", "total scheduled in period" and "total scheduled episodes" information of the selected program would be displayed.
B.Program without broadcasting rights
In case the station doesn't have a Etere BMS license, the Programs Scheduler will allow to search and select the program to be scheduled:
Airsales_manualscheduler01
Scheduling period - Specify the dates interval on which the asset will be scheduled (and for which it must be valid).
NB: Asset's validity is based on the expiry date set under the Asset Form > Rights Management.
Assets - Enter the code of the asset to be scheduled or search the Etere's asset repository. Once selected, the "total scheduled in period" and "total scheduled runs" information of the selected asset would be displayed.
NB: Only assets which are valid for the selected scheduling period will be displayed.
