Resource Configuration

59.6.2.217 Vizrt - Vizrt resource editor

The "Edit Resource" form allows one to define a VIZRT graphics system resource (up to 8 layers). The fields required for its configuration are following described:

READ-ONLY INFO
Code
- The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed.
Type - Shows the type the resource belongs to (e.g. LOGO).
Number - Ordinal number that differentiates the resource from others of the same type.

RESOURCE PROPERTIES
Name
- A brief description that identifies the resource must be inserted.
Driver - Select the driver to be used by Etere to control the logo generator. Available drivers include:

VIZRTCII  (Serial)

Config
•Logo Generator configured as Set the logo configuration
•Enter the connected DSK: Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if a DSK previously configured must be associated from the resources (Attention, only active DSK are shown, so they must be formerly configured).

Preset/Take Mode
•Speed up the take process. Some devices can pre-charge a logo before showing it on-air. This option can be exploited using Preset/Take mode instead of standard mode.
•Preset/Take mode is recommended only if commutation is used for all events. Otherwise, results could be unpredictable.
Config
•Unit number: Use if a specific device must be controlled in a pool of devices. (default=1)
•Device log directory: Specify the messages' directory on the device.
VIZRTMS   (Ethernet)
IP Address
•Insert the IP address of the computer on which the VIZRT Multichannel server is installed.
Remote Port
•Insert the local port used by the VIZRT Multichannel server to communicate.
Config
•Logo Generator configured as Set the logo configuration.
Automation data
•The automation-mode is based on the REST protocol to control the VizMultichannel engine; set here the parameters required to import the XML file containing the playlist:
•Profile (case sensitive): Indicate the VIZRT Multichannel server profile (VizProfile) to be used by Etere for the playout (e.g. VizRundown).
•Channel (case sensitive): Specify the VIZRT Multichannel server channel (VizChannel) to be used by Etere for the playout (e.g. demochannel).
Main Preview data
•The preview-mode is based on the VCPAxFiller.ocx ActiveX control that must be registered (with regsvr32) in the computer on which the preview will be performed:
•Preview Port: Specify the port for the preview (e.g. 50008).
•Product: Indicate if the device is VIZ Multichannel, VIZ trio or VIZ ticker.
•Templates path in the device: Insert the template ID for the preview (e.g., demo channel).
Note: Please refer to the chapter "Using a Viz Multichannel" for more detailed information on how this device's "VIZRTMS" driver works.
E19 Resource ID
Optionally, insert the ID of the resource created under the Resource Editor module for this resource. This identification number is used, for example, to check the storage space usage of the resource.
NB: Etere supports triggering primary events (the related option must be enabled in the VIZRT server).
Once compiled, click on the [Confirm] button to add the LOGO resource to the Resources tree (it will be created featuring eight different layers). After which, it will be possible to configure the:
Device users: Select the resource and click the [Users] button.
Vizrt Resource Editor - User
Indicate to which user and to which module or program the relevant resource must be activated. Available parameters depend on the driver set for the resource:

VIZRTMS
Set the user(s) that will be allowed to use the logo generator for either Automation or Preview:
READ-ONLY INFO
Resource
- Code of the resource channel.
Name - Name of the resource channel.
ID Number - Identification number of the resource channel.
USER INFORMATION
PC Name
- Indicate the specific workstation (user) for which the resource will be allowed. Once selected, it will be automatically retrieved and display the ID number and PC name corresponding to the selected user.
Function - Indicate the module (function) on which the user mentioned above will be allowed to use the resource in question
VIZRTCII
In this case, it will be possible to set, besides the above parameters, also the following ones:
USER PARAMETERS
Com Number -
Indicate the COM port where the VIZRT system is connected.
Com configuration: - Available configurations include: Baudrate (default=9600), Parity (default=None), Databits (default=8) and Stopbits (default=1).
NB: The resource must be set with the default data displayed here.
422 - •Device (out): Indicate the no. of the device to be activated when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
•Controller (in): Indicate the no. of the controller to be activated when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
NB: Only in special cases where you have a centralized video router, which allows one to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422.
