59.6.2.172 Inscriber - Inscriber Inca resource editor

Inscriber's Inca CG and Inca Studio represent a completely software-centric approach to managing video and graphics. Rather than routing video signals through a graphics system to other components in a compositing chain, the system replaces those components with software equivalents.

Acting like a real-time nonlinear editor, its architecture can assemble and combine elements such as audio, video clips, matte channels, effects, graphics, text and animations.

Etere controls the Inscriber Inca series via serial or ethernet (using the 9100 port as default) through a protocol based on the standard CII (the device receives CII commands to trigger layouts to air).

Edit Resource Information
The information shown in the first part of the form has a description purpose only; it shows previously assigned data:
•Code: shows the resource path you are editing
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: shows the ordinal number to identify the resource in case you have other resources of the same type
The user must set the following information
•Name: a description of the resource you are editing
•Driver: depending on the device type:
➢Inscriber
Serial port trigger support. It requires to specify the Config parameters:
- Clear Event: Indicate the event's number corresponding to Clear Event (default=999)
- Output Channel: Indicate the used output channel number (default=1)
➢InscriberCII
Control output with CII Commands. In this case, you will be required to set the following Configuration:
- Logo Generator configured as Indicate how the logo must be configured.
- Indicate the associated DSK: Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if one of the resources previously configured must be associated. (Warning: only active DSKs are shown; that's why you should have a DSK already configured)
- Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can pre-load the logo before playing it out to speed up the operation during the take.
You can get this feature using reset/take mode instead of the standard mode. The preset/take mode is suggested if you use a commutation for each event. Otherwise, you could obtain unpredictable results.
Inscriber Inca resource editor - User
Indicate which Etere workstation (user and ID) and the Etere module (function) will be allowed to use the resource. Then, optionally set the following parameter:
•Com port setting: The router can be controlled directly through:
➢Serial connection: Set the com number to the connection.
➢Via UDP: Along with ETERESARVAJI (in this case, you have to indicate the PC IP address that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port that EtereSarvaji uses).
•Com configuration: The default com configuration has the following parameters:
➢Bau: 9600 (editable)
➢Parity: None
➢Stop bits: 1
➢Data bits: 8
•Com port: If you wish to manage another router as the Backup router, activate this option and insert com data, or leave the option blank. The backup router must be ultimately THE SAME as the main one.
•422
➢Device (out)- Indicate the no. of the device to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
➢Controller (in)- Indicate the no. of the controller to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
(Only in the special case where you have a centralized video router which allows you also to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422)
