202.3.1.2 User Menu

Options
To access the main program options, go to the main menu and click on the 'Options' button, the following options will be listed:

•Set Days: Set the number of days to be displayed in the Main Area

•Refresh Control Range: Set the refresh range for the schedules.

•Show connected block: If enabled, there will be indicated under the 'properties' left-column the connected block(s) present on other station's structure which are connected to the currently selected block.

•Display Segments: If enabled, when the mouse point at a block, the Content List will display the segments defined in this block (Segments section).

•Check Events Presence:
As in 'Display segments', if this option is enabled, when the mouse point at a block, the Content List will display the events in the block (Events section).

•Automatic Block Alignment: If checked, blocks will be automatically aligned once inserted.

•Lock bar of days and times during sliding: With this option enabled, the vertical column (display the time) and the top horizontal row (display the dates) would be locked when you move the scroll bars vertically or horizontally.  This option is disabled by default.

•Display main programs name: If enabled, all blocks will display their default information but one of the following properties:
- Asset description: The 'asset description' of the main program (i.e. the one with the longer duration) scheduled within the block.
- Seasons description: The 'Seasons description' of the main program (i.e. the one with the longer duration) scheduled within the block. Seasons of one single episode will also displayed.
- Seasons and asset description: Both the Seasons and asset mentioned above.  
 
Tools
This menu contains the same functions offered by the SCHEDULE TOOLBAR, includes the following:

•Update (F5): Refresh all the days according to the inserted blocks.

•Align blocks: This option eliminates all time gaps between blocks by aligning them based on the actual duration of their segments (e.g. it might happen that the sum of the segments present within a block is less than the duration of the block itself). This tools will have impact on the structure of all currently open days.

•Restore Initial Values: This option will RESTORE all parameters to their initial values, all custom options set by the user will be lost.

•Change structure:
It allows to easily change the structure of a certain block, see the Change Block Structure for detailed information.

•Interval check: Search for errors (e.g. overlaps, etc) on the schedules of the currently opened time range.

•Replace Block:
Use it to replace a block, keeping its schedule position as well as the events scheduled on it (see Replace Block),

•Set working time: This parameters is merely for reference, it highlights the current selected time zone.

•Block segments: Open the block with the Block Editor (see Editing a Block).

•Recycle Bin (Ctrl + F7): If you move a block and its corresponding events into the recycle bin, they will be retained for a period of time, they could be restored or deleted. This is useful if for example a pre-scheduled program is postponed rather than deleted.

•Add: It permits to create a new block (see Creating a Block) in the current selected position.

•Remove: Deletes the block from a selected scheduling period (i.e. from one date to another on specific weekdays). Deleted blocks are stored in Trash Bin (accessible via Ctrl + F7).

•Paste: Copy all selected blocks into a different period, as explained in the Paste Blocks Between Days chapter.

•Copy Structure between stations: This option allows to copy the schedule (structure and/or events) to another station, please refer to the Copying Structure Between Stations section for more information.

•Strategic Editor: Open the Etere's Strategic Editor application, which allows to program events on existing schedules structures.

•Block Editor: Open Etere'sBlock Editor, useful for the creation, modification and deletion of blocks.

•Edit Schedule in use: If the current schedule is being used (or blocked) by another used, this button will release the schedule.

•EPG Manager: Use this tools to search, view and modify the EPG information of all events scheduled on a certain date frame. Detailed information on how to use this tool is available on the EPG Manager chapter.
 
Show
This tools holds some functions regarding how the user interface will be presented to the user:

•Station name: If enabled, the name and logo of the current workstation will be displayed into a panel placed below the main menu.

•Status bar: If enabled, a status bar will be displayed at the bottom of the window.

•Alpha blend: If enabled, an 'alpha blend bar' will be displayed to allow the user to set a custom transparency for the window.

•Local parameters shared by: This function allows either read the global parameters and apply them to the current window layout or save the global parameters based on the current local window layout.

•Log: It shows a detail listing containing all the actions (e.g. trash, insert, change, etc) performed in the weekly schedule.
