Import Scope

The MediaGeniX AsRun import has been developed to help MTV Italy on importing playlists transmitted by MTV UK regarding MTV Italian stations (i.e. Nick, Nick jr, Comedy and related shifted stations).
This import allows importing a .TXT file containing the broadcast schedule of a certain period (one or more days) based on the following criteria:
The first line of the imported file must contain the station name, the year, the time period and other data.
A line containing a date indicates the day to which below events belongs to.
Each line represents an event, which fields are separated by "tab spaces" (i.e. [CHR(9)]).
The 3rd field of each London event (i.e. line) contains the link to the related Italian asset. Before the import, it must be specified the Italian asset's SMPTE metadata holding said link:

• LBN  (London Broadcasting Number)
• ABN  (Amsterdam Broadcasting Number)

If the link between the London event and a Italian asset doesn't exist, a new asset is created with a new code (IdNumber_LBN).
In order to avoid the station to enter the ID Number of each asset, a function allows to automatically import all links between Italian and London assets. 
Notes: The structure of the imported file is the same as the one exported through the Export Standard EPG TXT.
If the import is triggered by F90, in the event when connection to SQL database is interrupted, the import process would abort and exit from F90, this would prevent the file been renamed to “.err” and put file available for subsequent import process.

Import Parameters

Under the Parameters section, other settings that can be configured are:

Import_standard_mediagenix_asrun

• File to import: Enter or browse the file (.TXT) to be imported. The format of the filename is not relevant.

• Flexi-metadata to be linked to the transmission ID: Set here the Flexi-metadata to be used for linking the Transmission ID of imported London events and the Etere Code of Italian assets.
Imported assets will be matched with the one in the local archive featuring the data of the Flexi-metadata set here. In case no match is found (i.e. the TransmissionID doesn't exists in the local archive), a new asset will be created with the following code:
transmissionID_[Flexi-metadata]                   (e.g.: 96805026_LBN)

• EDL version to import: Specify the EDL list (i.e.: 1,2,3,...9) on which the interruptions will be inserted,
Once the import has been configured, it will be possible to use the following buttons:
<Import schedule>: This functions starts importing all events contained in the file into the related schedules.
<Import asset link>: This function avoids entering in the Media Library the Transmission ID of each local asset, this, by automatically importing all links between Italian and London assets from a .CSV file.
Each line in the imported file must detail the Etere Code and related Transmission ID. Fields are separated by commas.
Once the import has finished, it will be possible to display the schedule of the related day to check/approve the operation.

• Type to assign to new assets created: The default type for the new assets created by this import is "SPOT", but it's possible to change it, specifying the asset type in this field.
