In order to visualize and amend existing schedules, it's important to know some of the important functions that Strategic Editor offers, these tools can be listed by accessing the 'Tools' drop down menu:
Function - Insert Starting and Ending Jingles and Fillers
Description : Insert pre-configured jingles at the start and at the end of a cluster. See Insert Jingles and Fillers.
Function - Insert Opening and Closing themes
Description : Insert assets before and after all events of a specific type scheduled within a certain period. Please refer to the "Insert Opening and closing themes" for further details.
Function - Insert themes linked to assets
Description : This function allows to place into the schedule themes associated to scheduled assets. Themes will be automatically inserted in the segments in which the related program is scheduled, placing opening themes before the program and closing themes after the program:
In case matching programs are exploded (i.e. divided in parts), opening and closing themes will be inserted for each exploded part.
NB: Please note that themes can be associated to specific program under the Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Assets Themes section.
Function - Insert Automatic Template
Description : In case the station came with a valid "Etere Music Manager" license, this tool will permit to associate automatic music formats (created using 'Music Format') to an specified period and segment types.
Function - Fill Segments
Description : Opens a form that permits to precisely insert fillers into specific segments. Detailed information is available in the Fill Segments dedicated chapter.
Function - Delete Jingles, Fillers and Themes
Description : Use this tool to remove from the schedules of a certain period (and ad insertion network) any of the following items:
Starting and Ending jingles - Delete all detected Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Jingles which are either 'starting or ending jingles'.
Inter-cluster jingle - Delete all detected Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Jingles which are 'intercluster jingles'.
Fillers (AD INSERTION) - Delete all detected Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Fillers.
Return jingle (AD INSERTION) - Delete all detected Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Jingles which are 'return jingles'.
Opening and closing themes - Delete all detected Etere Configuration | Settings | Air Sales | Assets Themes.
Function - Change LIVE events scheduled duration (CTRL+U)
Description : This function allows to change the duration of any live event present in the currently opened schedule.

Function - Change segments duration of the day
Description : See the Change segment day duration chapter.
Function - Recalculate total duration of segments in the schedule
Description : This option permits to update the sum of the durations of all segments in the schedule, this value is displayed in the top portion of the window as 'Segments duration'.
Function - Recalculate events actual time (CTRL+K)
Description : Recalculates the actual time for ALL events present in the currently open schedule.
Function - Daily Crowding
Description : Displays a report containing the current daily commercial crowding status:
Function - Restore segments base structure
Description : This key function allows to restore the schedule structure of the current day to its defaulted state, which pre-defined under the Weekly Schedule module. Use this function, for example, after an undesired seasons of changes performed to the schedule structure such as adding segments, deleting segments, modifying structures, changed segment duration, changed block structure, etc.
Function - Report (CTRL-ALT-R)
Description : It open the Etere Reports module, a robust collection of more than 150 fully customizable reports classified in 14 categories according to their functions.
Function - Lock from automatic insertions
Description : Allows to manually enable/disable the current scheduling day for being modified by automatic insertions (e.g. Air Sales Scheduler, Seasons Scheduler, Programs Scheduler, Trailer Scheduler, etc). If enabled, a red message "Day locked from automatic nsertions" would be displayed to indicate schedulers that they can keep working on it (while new bookings will fall into black/white lists).
