Resource Configuration

59.6.2.178 Miles - M41/M42/M44 resource editor

The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: the path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: shows the resource type
•Number: indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.
The user must enter the following information:
•Name: description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: MILESM42 for M41 and M42, MILESM44 for M44
•Model: choose the model you want.
•Configuration
✓logo generator configured as Indicate how you want the logo configured.
✓Indicate the associated DSK: Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if one of those in the resources (previously configured) must be associated.
(Warning: you need to configure DSKs first because only installed DSKs are displayed)

•Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can pre-load the logo before sending it ON AIR in such a way as to speed up the operation at the moment of the take. This possibility can be exploited using preset/take mode instead of standard mode. The preset/take mode is suggested only if a commutation is used for each event. Otherwise, the results could be unpredictable.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
✓Connect the automation to the REMOTE port through a 422 crossed cable (see the MILES manual for cable's details).
✓Record a few logos.
✓Record at least one "transparent" logo (an empty logo); it will be useful if you want a logo displayed for part of the transmission only.
✓Do not record logo no. 0 and logos from nos. 91 to 99 since the automation cannot recall them.
When controlled by the front panel, some MILES versions send characters to the serial port. We advise you always to disconnect the automation while using the MILES command panel.
