In order to schedule ETX graphic, "ETX Graphic" type property must be added to the Types Editor in the Configuration > Settings. The ETX graphic can be scheduled by using one of the following method:
-From the ETX-G section of the Secondary object form
-From the asset form in the Executive Editor where the asset type is ETX Graphic.
When ETX-G is active in Automation, generator device such as Logo and CG are no longer in used. The graphics are managed by Etere’s STMan application using Automation driver, which require EA3213 License to be acquired.
When ETX-G mode is active in Automation, an indication icon is displayed in the user interface.
ETX Graphic
The ETX-G mode is published in the User.xxx\etxmc.ini file with parameter “etxgmode=1” when set to active. For debug purpose, the ETX-G can be set to inactive mode by adding “etxg=0” at the start of the file.
When managing ETX-G graphics, STMan read the automation etxmc.ini file to determine the ETX-G mode. If the ETX-G mode is active, STMan trigger 5 layers of object management:
•Layer 5 is reserved for all non-ETX-G events such as subtitling, channel branding, etc.
•Layer 1 to 4 are reserved for ETX-G graphics.
•Layer 1 to 4 are selected automatically with a round-robin algorithm, starting from first to last.
•ETX-G graphics are removed only if a duration is specified. The duration must fall within the event.
•Graphics are reused. If a graphic is already loaded on a layer it would be leaved as it is and no command would be sent, asrun would displayed as ok.
•If no layer is available, no command would be sent and asrun would display an error.
