Resource Configuration

59.6.2.211 SAV - Kronoss Resource Editor

The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:

•Code: The path of the resource that you are editing is displayed
•Type: Shows the resource type
•Number: Indicates the ordinal number that identifies that resource in case others of the same type coexist.

The user must enter the following information:
•Name: Description of the resource you are editing.
•Driver: Fixed for the machine type: SAVKRONOSS
•IP Address: Type the IP address of the machine and its local port (default value: 4000)
•Configuration:
✓ The logo generator is configured as follows: Indicate how you want the logo to be configured.
✓Indicate the associated DSK: Indicate if the DSK is internal (INSIDE) or if one of those in the resources (previously configured) must be associated.
(Warning: you need to configure DSKs first because only installed DSKs are displayed)
•Preset/Take Mode: Some devices can pre-load the logo before sending it ON AIR in such a way as to speed up the operation at the moment of the take. This possibility can be exploited using preset/take mode instead of standard mode. The preset/take mode is suggested only if a commutation is used for each event. Otherwise, the results could be unpredictable.

Warning: The KRONOSS logo does not need any serial connection wire, as it is LAN-controlled.

• Etere Controls the SAV Kronoss Logo Generator via TCP/IP.
With the device, SAV supplies the Kronossoft software, allowing one to create logos and manage the device's parameters.
For the device to operate with Etere, you have to take the following preliminary steps:
1). Set the TCP/IP address.
The Kronoss address must be the same as you set in the Etere parameters. To set it:
a) Connect the serial wire supplied with the Kronoss between one of the PC's serial ports and the Kronoss's RS 232/422/485 port.
b) Run the Kronossoft software.
c) Go to Options/Communication setup/Serial and select the PC's COM the serial wire is connected.
d) Select Options/Serial link
e) Activate the Connect to Hardware icon
f) Go to Options/Hardware/Setup/Hard Config and set the IP address, the Subnet mask and the Gateway address. Select Apply.
After the address has been set, you should also be able to use Kronossoft with the Network link.
2) Create the null logo.
a) With MS Windows Paint, create a black box of 20x20 pixels saved as null.bmp.
b) With Kronossoft and the logo's creation tool (right column), create a logo with Picture = null.bmp, select key File = null.bmp, and set the logo name as Null and confirm.
c) With the logo browser (left column), select the Null logo and enter it in the main window.
d) Save the project as null. pkr and send it (Send to hardware) to the Flash memory of Kronoss (Target=Flash:\) as null.pkr. (Project Name)
3) Create logos.
Logos used with Etere must be saved in the Kronoss with "n.pkr" names, where n is a number between 1 and 999.
✓Logos from 1. pkr to 300.pkr must be saved in the Flash memory of Kronoss.

✓Logos from 301. pkr to 600. pkr must be saved on the Kronoss's disk 1 (d:)

✓Logos from 601. pkr to 999. pkr must be saved on the Kronoss's disk 2 (e:)
