The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:
•Code: Shows the path for the resource being edited.
•Type: Shows the resource's type.
•Number: Shows the number identifying the resource in case others of the same type are present
The user must define the following information:
•Name: Description of the resource being edited.
•Driver: Fixed for this type of device (PRODIGY).
•Transaction speed: Set the millisecond time for the three transaction speeds (slow, middle, fast).
•Channel's number: Insert the number of resource's inputs – the output is only one. This information will be necessary for editing channels in the Routers Configuration of Etere Scheduling.
NOTE: Creating this resource will automatically create a DSK resource connected to the PRODIGY. The DSK resource will have to be appropriately configured.
Serial connection cable: SMPTE 207 (SONY cable).
VideoTek Prodigy resource editor - User
After setting the user and the program for the resource's activation, it is necessary to set other data:
COM port setting:
The router can be controlled via serial cable (in this case, it is required to set the COM port number) or via UDP through the EtereSarvaji application (in this case, it is necessary to establish the IP address of the PC where the application is running and the local port is used).
COM configuration:
The COM configuration is fixed with these VIDEOTEK default parameters:
•Baud: 38400
•Parity: Odd
•Stop bits: 1
•Data bits: 8
422
•Device (out): Set the number of devices that must be activated when the resource is opened (-1=not managed).
•Controller (in): Set the number of controllers that must be activated when the resource is opened (-1=not managed).
(Only in the special case where you have a centralized video router which allows you also to commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422)
