The FTPutils.exe tool is used by the Logs Saver application for sending all gathered logs to the Etere's upload server, thus allowing our Customer Support Service to analyze and solve any eventually encountered issues.
Logs are located in the Etere's AppData directory (e.g. c:\users\[user-name]\appdata\local\etere\)
Log's directory is shared in the network (\\[server-name]\eterelog.[user-name].[domain-name]\)
Logs are zipped into one file before being sent to the Etere's FTP site (for customer support)
Log's file is named as "[ModuleName], [UserName], [PCName], [Date-time].zip" (where date=yymmdd, time=hhmmss)
Logs upload can be enabled through the "automatic upload on FTP" option
Logs can be also saved in a custom path (e.g. c:\mydocs\)
Log's can be uploaded to a custom site rather than to the default FTP site (ftp1.etere.com)
Etere automatically updates the list of FTP address for upload every 15 days, the default upload server is ftp1.etere.com. For further information on the connection parameters please refer to the "Settings" section of the LOGS SAVER chapter.
When uploading (zipped) log file to Etere FTP Server, the file is transmitted over the network via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) protocol.
