59.3.9.60 Loudness check

Action Description
The Loudness check action allows to read the "loudness" Flexi-metadata of an asset and give a specific result depending on the loudness checked value. Possible effects based on the read loudness include:

• "in range" (i.e. the loudness meets the specified range),

• "out of range" (i.e. the loudness is not within the specified range),

• "not set" (i.e. the loudness value has not been either calculated by Etere CMS or inserted by the operator),

• "error" (i.e. the loudness could not be read due to an unexpected issue).

Action Parameters
Under this section, it is possible to create new actions based on the following parameters:

Name: Give the action a brief and self-descriptive name (e.g. "Loudness check between -26 and -20").

Minimum value (dB): Specify the minimum value (by default -26 dB) that defines the loudness allowance range.

Maximum value (dB): Specify the maximum value (by default -20 dB) that defines the loudness allowance range.

How to use it

Loudness check actions can be used (in the T-Workflow designer)  to, for example, determine if an asset requires either a loudness normalization (i.e. loudness outside the range) or not (i.e. loudness within the range).
