First of all, in broadcasting, a commercial order is a document used to collect and report costs and revenues generated from selling television space. The Orders module is the solution for managing the commissioning and planning of your commercial activity, it ensures that your commercial orders will be professionally generated and efficiently managed thus maximizing productivity and air time planning.
The Orders module is the place where commercial orders related to the transmission of events are defined. The image above illustrates the flowchart to carry out the management of commercial orders within the Etere system including the major Commercial Orders Management operations such as:
•Generate new orders and search existing ones,
•Invoice orders either at the use or as pre-paid,
•Manage account executive and the commission paid to them,
•Insert multiple order lines for each order,
•Establish client specific scheduling rules,
•Reserve or confirm space in the schedule,
•Assign assets to an order,
•View scheduling status and effected reservations,
•An Invoicing module allows billing commercial orders.
Note
Commercial Orders, as all Etere modules, are managed under a rights-based approach, so in order to access commercial orders the user must count with the related rights (see Etere Configuration > Configuration Editor > Rights Management).
