The information displayed in the first part is merely descriptive and shows previously assigned data:

•Code: shows the path for the resource being edited.
•Type: shows the resource's type.
•Number: shows the number identifying the resource in case others of the same type are present.
The user must define the following information
•Name: description of the resource being edited.
•Driver: ROSSCDK111
•Transaction speed: (Slow, Medium, Fast, Indicate the time of the three transition speeds in milliseconds.)
•Number of channels: specify how many input channels there are; the output channel is one. This information is used to edit the channels in the Router Configurations of MAIN.

NB: Creating this resource will also automatically create 2 DSK resources connected to the MC, which will have to be configured.

Serial connection cable: SMPTE 207 (SONY cable).

After indicating which user and which software the resource has to be installed for, you have to set the other data:

Com port setting:

The machine can be controlled directly through a serial connection; in this case, you have to set the com number or through UDP with the ETERESARVAJI software (in this case, you have to indicate the IP address of the PC that EtereSarvaji runs on and the Local Port which EtereSarvaji uses.

Com configuration:

The data of the com are fixed: 38400, N,8,1

•Device (out) - Indicate the no. of the device to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
•Controller (in) - Indicate the no. of the controller to be installed when you open the resource.(-1=not installed)
•(Only in the special case where you have a centralized video router which allows you to also commute serial ports, set the data referred to above to 422)
