What is the Automation Controller?
The Automation Controller is the essential component that permits EA1790 Control Panel to trigger automation commands across a group of automation channels.
•Automation Controller map all buttons present in the EA1790 Control Panel to specific automation channels and commands.
•During runtime, it interprets the button executed from the EA1790 Control Panel and trigger the relative mapped automation command over the selected channels.
In order to function, the EA1790 Control Panel needs at least one running Automation controller to interpret its commands, supporting even two concurrent automation controllers in case a main/backup implementation is required (see Main/Backup functioning). 
How to configure the Automation Controller?
In order to setup the Automation controller to communicate with an EA1790 Control Panel, launch the controller by navigating to Start > Programs > Etere menu and select the Etere CP Control Panel module (either normally or including startup parameters).
Once launched, the Automation controller would be automatically minimized to the system tray bar, as shown below.

•Open: It shows the main window of the control panel to enable mapping the channels and commands to the EA1790 Control Panel.
•Setup: It displays a configuration window which allows to set the connection parameters for the EA1790 Control Panel.
•Save logs: It allows to generate a log containing the control panel's runtime information and send it to Etere's customer support when reporting an error.
•Write a log bookmark now!: It updates the log file of the automation controller which is stored in the Etere installation folder (e.g. c:\program files\etere\log\cp.eterecp.000.%UserName%.controller.log).
•Restart: It closes the application and then re-opens it. Use this function to load new settings that requires restarting the automation controller.
•Exit: It closes the application, interrupting its communication with the EA1790 Control Panel.
