Under the General 5 tab there are located some extra parameters regarding the following functions:
GPI status if Main - In case the workstation counts with a GPI card, set here a GPI configuration (e.g. 00xxxx00) to be used if Etere is running on Main mode.
If you do not intend to use this feature, just leave this parameters empty do not manage it.
GPI status if Backup - In case the workstation counts with a GPI card, set here a GPI configuration (e.g. 11xxxx00) to be used if Etere is running on Backup mode.
If you do not intend to use this feature, just leave this parameters empty do not manage it.
NB: In both cases, the GPI will be set at the application startup and on each status change. The status to be set is 1 if the GPI is opened and 0 if the GPI is closed, other characters are not taken into account.
Tape types to consider as HD - In case the resource driver (e.g. Omneon API) supports automatic switching between SD/HD channels (i.e. ingest from SD tapes using an SD profile and from an HD tape using an HD profile), this parameter allows to identify the tape types to be considered by Etere Ingest as HD during the ingesting stage (and subsequently write it on the asset properties).
Please note that it is possible to specify various HD tape types just by entering their codes separated by commas (e.g. XDCHD, HDDX2).
NB: Detailed information on how to configure SD and HD players can be found in the Automatic SD/HD switch chapter.
