59.4.7.18 VACP Mover

The VACP Mover process type allows the transferring of video files to/from external devices through a VACP protocol. To configure a VACP Datamover action, the following parameters need to be set:
VACP_Mover

VACP Server Configuration
Compile some relevant information regarding the connection to Etere VACP Server:
• VACP Server: if the communication type is TCP/IP, insert the IP on which the VACP Server is running; otherwise, if the communication type is 'Serial', leave it blank,
• Port: Specify the COM number (if Serial) or the Port number (if TCP/IP) on which the VACP Server is 'listening' for requests,
• User ID: Insert the VACP User ID provided by the server implementator. If the server used is Etere VACP Server, this parameter can be left blank,
• Subsystem: If you are using a 'Serial' communication with more than one device, specify the subsystem to be used; the server implementator must provide this value. If the server used is Etere VACP Server, this parameter can be left blank,
• Standard device / Sony device: The default value (Standard device) works with any device; however, if you are using a Sony device, you are free to specify it to slightly improve the login process.

Copy Options
Specify if the action will be used for either archive or restore video files:
• Archive: Indicate the Source ID (external device ID) and the Group (Archive group) from which video files will be archived. The 'Group' value is the same specified in the Server.
• Restore: insert the Destination ID (external device ID) on which video files will be restored as well as the following parameters:
Download path - Select the metadevice where files will be restored. Environment variables can be used.
Filename - Insert the filename with which restored files will be saved. Environment variables can be used.
NB: For a detailed list of runtime data available, please refer to the Supported runtime variables chapter.
• Priority: Use it to set the priority, which goes from 1(lower)  to 10(higher) with which Etere Data Mover will take action into the job list. It is suggested to leave the default value (i.e., 3) at least it is not strongly necessary to use a different one (e.g. archive=5, restore=4).

Using a VACP Mover action
Once saved, VACP Mover actions will be available as action blocks ready to be included within T-workflows.
