59.3.9.6 Asset Custom Log

Action Description
The Asset custom log action allows recording into the asset's operations logs a piece of specific information related to the functions performed by the T-workflow attached to it.

Action Parameters
Under this section, it is possible to create new actions based on the following parameters:

Parameter: Name
Description:
Give a brief and self-descriptive name to the action (e.g. "Log asset status change", "Log Flexi-metadata set value", etc.).

Parameter: Status
Description:
Optional. Specify the current operation status to be logged (i.e. done, running, idle, error or aborted).

Parameter: Notes
Description:
Insert the log description (max. 50 characters) to be inserted in the asset's operations log (e.g. "Asset status changed via T-workflow")

Parameter: Classification
Description:
Optional. Enter a two-character string to distinguish the logged operations (e.g. MM, WW, ER).

NB: Please note that the combination of their name-status-classification identifies asset custom logs actions; therefore, in case of creating an action with an existing combination (i.e. same name-status-classification), the new one will overwrite the current action related to this combination.

How to use it
Asset custom log actions can be used (in the T-Workflow designer) to, for example, specify in the log of an asset that the T-workflow has changed its asset status.
