Import Scope
The AVID Sundance Playlist TXT allows importing a file in TXT format containing the events scheduled in the playlist of a specific day.
The import will be performed under the following specifications:
Prerequisites
The following types must exist in the system, associated to the relative programs:
Type - COM
Programme : Commercial
Type - J
Programme : Promo
Type - PROG
Programme : Program
File structure
The filename must contain the date of the playlist to import, which must be specified in the following format:
mmddyy.txt   (e.g. 052814.txt)
Only dates in the future will be imported, dates in the past will be ignored.
Each line must contain one scheduled event
Import process
Check the validity of the file structure
Verify the unicity of the ReconcileKey, that is, it must not be imported in other days or by other users
ST1 programs are considered as "LIVE" and their event type property is set to "manual".
Import parameters
This import allows the following parameters to be set and then [saved]:

Import tab
File to import - Browse and select the folder where files to be imported will be stored.
Note: Files must be named according to what specified in the previous "File Structure" section.
Parameters tab
Always update Live - If enabled, "live" events will be always updated, even if they already exist in the database.
Delete events not present in the file - If enabled, events missing in the imported file but found in the imported date's playlist will be deleted.
Assign same scheduled time for adjacent types - If enabled, the same scheduled time will be set for events that have the same type and fall adjacent to each other in the playlist (e.g. commercials in a cluster).
Import the actual duration if the asset is recorded - If enabled, the actual duration of the asset will be imported if it's already recorded, even if the scheduled duration exists and it's different than the one in the imported file.
Always update the asset - If enabled, assets (live and not) will be always updated even if they already exist in the database.
Updated fields include Duration, Mark in/Mark out, Type, Description and Insertion points.
Channel to assign to LIVE- Specify here the channel to be set by default on imported "live" events.
Import on daily scheduling - If you are importing the schedule for the current day, this parameter indicates what time on the schedule the import starts from (calculated as [current time] + [time shift]).
Events with a start time before the current time will not be imported. 
Launch the import
Once all parameters have been correctly set, just press the <File Import> button to launch the import operation.
